Engagement Party: Modern Orange and Grey Dessert Table with MMD Events
Hello everyone! Hope all you are enjoying your weekend. We have the weekend “off” here so while we figure out what adventures await us with the boys, I figured I would share a bit of blog goodness to start the week.
I know…I know…I may say this often, but this was one of my favorite setups that we worked on with MMD Events and I loved the table that came out of this. The style was a unique mixture of vintage pieces mixed with modern, geometric patterns which I love. love. love. You would think that mixing chevron with damask wouldn’t work, but if you strike the right balance (throw in an amazing color palette), you can achieve a great look.
Of course, working with John and Sasha was pure joy. Completely open to our design ideas and giving us free reign to be as creative as we can be (yes, I know…dangerous!).
Enjoy!
PS: Special thanks to Crystal Brewster from Cuppy Cakes who provided the super tasty, customized cupcakes that were a hit! Thanks Crystal!

Real Wedding: Navy and Coral Dessert Table by Raquel Sergio Photography
Oh, be still my heart! Ever since I did this table I truly have had a slight obsession with coral hues. I love the way coral stands out against the navy on this one. And I also love my bride’s love for all things preppy. It’s great to work with a client that knows her style and wants to ensure that our table “feels like her.” Love it.
My favorite part of this one? I mean, really, is there any question…can we just take a moment and absorb the crazy-amazing cookies my go-to partner in crime, Erin from the Bitter Baking Company did? Erin did a great job of taking my client’s dog/family member and incorporating the image, or in this case, a silouette, in a fun but modern way. Love. Love. Love.
And of course, special thanks goes to Raquel Sergio Photography. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate my fellow photographers that are gracious enough to share their images with me. A million thanks!
Enjoy and hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!! We had a blast with the boys and all I can say is that I was really sad the day had to end!
Ahhh…next year!

Real Wedding: Milk and Cookies Dessert Table by Limelight Photography and Confetti Events
Hello Everyone! Hope all of you had a lovely weekend and for those in Florida…tried to stay dry! So very happy to share a “milk and cookies” table we did with the uber fabulous, and sincerely one of the most amazing mama/buisness owner/everything people I know, Jamie Billig. And if I could share every. single. photo. from this wedding by Limelight, I would. Just pure goodness.
This table came together through Elena and Michaels’ vision of wanting a cookie table that fell under the lines of their style: very chic, clean lines, modern and “glam.” That may be challenging when working with cookies and milk because you always want to leans towards vintage but through the papers that we used, fabulous linens that anchored the table and our wallpaper print backdrop, everything just came together beautifully!

Trish and Garrett’s Wedding with Jason Mize Photography
Hello Everyone! Hope all of you have a great weekend. We just wrapped up one of our biggest weekends and all I can say is that I’m grateful to just take this Monday to regroup, blog and hang out with Baby Preston. So I’m happy to *finally* share a wedding that we just LOVE. This is with Jason Mize Photography and oh, so love the features of this beauty. Zoe Gallina was the coordinator/everything person and she is just pretty much over-the-moon great and if you don’t believe, check out her lovely blog here.
It was great working with Trish because she knew exactly what she was looking for from the get-go: creams and corals with vintage touches. We were able to incorporate pieces she brought in (books, old ceramics, cake stands) and come up with a spread that worked really well together.
And have to share some love with Lauren Grove from Every Last Detail. Baby Preston was just a few weeks old and Lauren came to the rescue and graciously helped us out for the evening…so for that I’m eternally grateful!

Chocolate Brown and Red Dessert Table by K&K Photography
Hey Y’all! I’m happy to share some magic from my favorite person, Jeff from K&K Photography. We last worked with Jeff on one of the best shoots we did last year, our Dia de los Muertos with MMD Events that was featured in the blog, Rock N Roll Bride.
This wedding was great because it worked with a color palette that we don’t get to work with too often, chocolate brown and deep shades of reds. We also LOVED the brown and gold damask backdrop which really worked well with the colors going on our table. The backdrop along with the labels and paper that was used to line all of our vessels, just really made everything come together for one cohesive look.
Enjoy lovlies and have a fantastifc week!

When I realized I had to write this blog post I found myself getting sad. I have to admit, I got very attached to my bride’s wonderful mother, Maria. From weekly emails to phonecalls, by the time the wedding came along, I felt like I knew Maria better than my own bride (in a non-stalkerish kind of way, I swear). Luckily, Maria is one of those wonderful mothers who still, months later, stays in touch with me, so I can still hang on! 🙂
This wedding was absolutely beautiful. When Larissa (our stunning bride) saw the table, the first words out of her mouth, was “that is exactly what I was envisioning!” Indeed, by the time this wedding came along, Maria and I had covered every detail–from the black and white damask backdrop to the various shades of pink that would cover the table through the candy and desserts. And to add the sparkle, all of our vessals were lined in a bright pink paper.
And moving forward, I will be sharing a glimpse into the design behind each of our tables. I’m always one of those that likes to know all the behind the scenes stuff, so I figured I would share a bit of what goes into when we design each of our tables!

Colorful Bird Inspired Dessert Table by Limelight Photography
Hello Everyone!!! Hope all of you had a great 4th of July weekend. Honestly, am I the only one wondering why every weekend isn’t a 3-day weekend??
Well, luckily, I have literally spent the entire afternoon soaking up the loveliness of this gorgeous wedding by Limelight Photography. And of course it helps, that you have our seriously, drop-dead gorgeous bride, Amy, who just happens to be one of the most sweetest people I have ever met. Amy approached her day with such style and personality, you can’t help but fall in love. From the very beginning, there was a vision and every detail of this dessert table was thoughtfully crafted and designed so that the table was a true expression of Amy and Brook’s personality.

Real Wedding: Yellow and Black Damask Table by Lifelong Studios

This next dessert table is proof that inspiration can come from just about anywhere. And in this bride and groom’s case, it was all about the incredible black and yellow palette with modern, whimsical detailing. For me, I was also inspired by one of my dearest role models, Amy Atlas. A few years ago, Amy’s black and yellow damask-prink dessert table was one of the first times I stopped dead in my tracks and told myself, “wow, that is amazing!” Amy is the queen of desserts, and if you haven’t already, her Sweet Designs blog is a must-read.
In terms of overall design, Ally and Ryan were not afraid to “go there” and the result was a gorgeous, graphic inspired affair. Photographed to perfection by Life Long Studios and styled by Staci Mandikas and team over at Unique Event Design, you will love this wedding.

Behind the Scenes Notes:
1. Ugh! Why couldn’t I have filled the milk shots before the shots were taken?
2. Towards the end of the wedding, wedding planner Staci Mandikas grabbed our black, Ikea frame, we pushed the dessert table out of the way and had an impromptu photoshoot with Ally and Ryan. So. Much. Fun.

Blue and Orange Gator Inspired Dessert Table

Now if you follow our work, you know how much we heart our friends over at Limelight. They have been our biggest supporters over the past few years and I just can’t say enough about them. Of course, what we seriously love about this table is that our lovely couple, Robin and Byron wanted to go outside the box and create a Gator inspired dessert table. Now, being a proud Gator Alumni myself (raising arms, whoop, whoop), I was super excited, however, I knew this was going to be tricky especially when the entire room has an different color palette. Luckily, I think we were able to strike a balance between the shades of desserts, lining on all of our vessals and a lovely touch with the paper garland.
Go Gators!
